Amalfi Hotel Chicago

Three times a year, Tim and I attend the Alumni Association Board meeting for Carnegie Mellon. One of the three trips is held outside of Pittsburgh at another city that has a lot of alumni. So...that's how we ended up in Chicago in January. It was minus 2 degrees (Farenheit) and the wind chill was at least minus 20 degress. When we were outside (freezing our #?*#!# off) I made Tim carry me around since I didn't like the icy ground or orange booties he got for me.

Thankfully we stayed at the super dog-friendly Amalfi Hotel Chicago which is located in the heart of downtown Chicago.

The hotel staff gave me a bag of treats when we checked in. We had a room with a view of Harry Cary's restaurant (Tim is a big baseball fan) and were next door to Redfish Restaurant where Tim listedn to jazz. This time, Tim didn't have to sneak me into the meeting rooms since the hotel is dog friendly. Each morning, there was continental breakfast available in the lobbies. I do love croissants.
