I got to spend a long weekend with my best buddy Alex, the son of Tim's friend Chris. We had a blast, but I did get annoyed by Da Cat. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend.

Meanwhile, Tim was in Las Vegas where he celebrated his birthday. He stayed in a large suite in the Venetian, saw "O" at the Bellagio (his first Cirque du Soleil performance), and only lost about $20. Afterwards, he went to Los Angeles to see his family. He went to Disneyland again. The last night, his brother Chris and wife Natasha took him to the Hollywood Bowl to see AFI's top 25 movie musicals. Singin' in the Rain, one of Tim's favorite, won top honors.
